01Overview
We are hiring a DevOps Engineer with around 3 years of hands-on experience supporting and automating cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll work alongside our engineering teams to keep environments reliable, ship code smoothly through CI/CD, and maintain visibility into how our systems are running. The focus is on solid, practical DevOps fundamentals — Infrastructure as Code, containers, pipelines, and monitoring — applied day to day on GCP. This is a growth role: you'll deepen your cloud and automation skills with room to take on more ownership over time.
02Responsibilities
- Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform (writing and maintaining modules).
- Build and run containerized applications with Docker on Kubernetes (GKE) — deployments, scaling, and basic troubleshooting.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket.
- Manage source control workflows (Git) and image registries (Artifact Registry).
- Support backup, recovery, and autoscaling configurations across environments.
- Handle secrets and environment configuration securely (Secret Manager).
- Manage core GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage (GCS).
- Configure and maintain VPCs, Subnets, Firewall rules, and Cloud Load Balancing.
- Administer access using Cloud IAM (service accounts, roles, basic policy).
- Support databases such as Cloud SQL / MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis (Memorystore).
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting with Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Build dashboards and alerts to catch infrastructure issues early.
- Participate in incident response and help troubleshoot performance problems.
- Provide operational support to data and application teams (e.g., keeping BigQuery and related workloads healthy — supporting, not building, the pipelines).
03What We're Looking For
- ~3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / cloud infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Comfortable with Docker and container basics.
- Hands-on with at least one CI/CD tool: Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with core GCP services: Compute, VPC/networking, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
- Basic cloud networking understanding (load balancers, firewalls, subnets).
- Exposure to monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring/Logging, or Prometheus/Grafana).
- Familiarity with databases: Cloud SQL/MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Scripting in Bash or Python for automation.
